Cien imagenes de la Revolucion Cubana: 1953-1996 (Spanish Edition) by Pedro Álvarez Tabío

This book opens with a photo of concentrated intensity: on August 1, 1953, in a bivouac in Santiago de Cuba, the young Fidel Castro appears, and behind, on the wall, by an inexplicable chance that if the jailers could not avoid, Martí's cough appears. The last photo, dated 1966, the first of May, is expanded with a lightning strike over the Plaza de la Revolución, in Havana, over the crowd, as if the contained energy of the initial image had leaked out, and manifests itself in open space.
