Meschac Gaba

This catalogue was published to accompany a survey exhibition of Meschac Gaba's work, titled Museum of Contemporary African Art & More, at the Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassel, Germany; the Museum De Paviljoens in Almere, the Netherlands; and the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The exhibition marked the first time that the 12 rooms of Gaba's Museum of Contemporary African Art were displayed as a whole, and the monograph presents this masterwork in the context of the artist's entire oeuvre with works dating from 1990 to 2009. Accompanying essays (in English, German and Spanish) are by Simon Njami and Marco Scotini.
